The Wii is a great date idea and here’s why.
1. The Nintendo Wii comes with games that women like just as much as men. This is true—not just a marketing gimmick. You can play yoga, you can dance, you can pretend to be a rock star, and so much more.
2. You get to get up off your tush and actually do something instead of just staring at the screen for minutes at a time without blinking.
3. Most games come with a variety of different activities (sort of a game within a game, if you will) so you can spend hours playing without getting bored.
4. Studies show that your sex life improves when you exercise individually and when you exercise together. Play a little Wii Tennis or Wii Boxing and tell him to watch out.
5. If it’s one of your first few dates, then you can easily turn it into a drinking game to loosen things up. Can we say “loser goes to the kitchen for the next round of beers?”
6. The Nintendo Wii works for double dates too. Pair up and play doubles tennis or team Mario Cart for lots of date fun.

I’m refusing to go into any store this holiday season. Not because I’m suffering greatly from the perils of a downward economy, but because I love online shopping and reading other blogs about holiday gift ideas.
It’s just too fun.
