No, not those balls, ya perv. I love Christmas time peanut butter balls. Like these ones, the kind Sarah at The Delicious Life makes.

In years past I have tried to make peanut butter balls myself, but they normally end up in some kind of gooey, oblong shaped mess. But this year, with Sarah’s delicious recipe, it will be different.

I’m determined to do it right and impress all of my relatives with my culinary genius (Actually, Sarah’s culinary genius).

By the way, The Delicious Life is an great blog that definitely deserves a compliment. It has a nice home-town angle that we can all relate to. That, and you can find great recipes!

MSNBC.com did a cute story about gadgets that make you look a bit dorky, and I laughed out loud when I saw this one….

Yes, let’s speak out against the persistent wearing of the Blue Tooth!!! I‘m all for the simultaneous occurrence of safe driving and phone talking, but seriously people, take out the Blue Tooth when you are not using it.

You don’t look that cool with it shoved in your ear and I’m really happy that MSNBC took the time to tell the masses.

That deserves a compliment.

Two things:

1. I can’t believe I just found and read the blog, Cup of Jo.

2. I can’t believe I just found and read Glamour’s relationship blog, Smitten.

Now that I have, I’m inspired and a little thirsty for a cup of coffee.

Well, thanks to Kirtsy I found both of these sites authored by writer Joanna Goddard, and let me tell you…she deserves a compliment for being an excellent writer who is completely tapped into the creative and really understands what the reader wants to know.

Oh yeah, and be sure to read her post about the girl who lost her virginity and then texted her dad about it. Whoa.

Tiki Head Tissue - Compliment #33

I’m refusing to go into any store this holiday season. Not because I’m suffering greatly from the perils of a downward economy, but because I love online shopping and reading other blogs about holiday gift ideas.

It’s just too fun.

And yesterday I found a blog that might have discovered this year’s #1 gift idea: Tiki Head Tissue.

Who wouldn’t want one of these?

I’m ever so greatful to Rhi in Pink for posting her list of holiday gift ideas and for having discovered the Tiki Head. She gets a compliment for having such a good sense of humor and for allowing me to buy my dad a gift that he’ll really put to good use.

The Compliment Challenge is fun. But I’m not gonna lie, it’s tough sometimes. I’m actually a little tired of saying the word “compliments.”

Yeah, I know, how awful is that.

So….I decided to visit Thesaurus.com and find other words for compliments so I could spice up my posts a bit.  Here’s what I’ve come back for other words for compliments:

acclaim, acclamation, admiration, adulation, applause, appreciation, approval, blessing, buttering up, cajolery, commendation, comp, confirmation, congratulations, courtesy, encomium, endorsement, eulogy, favor, felicitation, good word, homage, honor, kudo, laud, laudation, laurels, notice, orchid, ovation, panegyric, pat on the back, regard, respects, sanction, sentiment, tribute, veneration, warm fuzzy

I think the best words for compliments have to be buttering up and warm fuzzy. Those words get today’s compliment for being cute and fun.
