No Assholes Please – Compliment #50

The highly-acclaimed author, Bob Sutton, has a strict rule against assholes at work, and I like it. I’m self employed now, but the days of working with assholes is strong in my memory. His book, The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn’t, is one worth reading and certainly one worth sharing with your co-workers.

Mr. Sutton deserves a huge compliment for speaking for all of us “nice people” and I think that’s admirable. Read his blog and the story about how a police officer enforced the no asshole rule.

Although he doesn’t delve much into dating relationships I think the same rule can be applied in love. No need to be an asshole or date one because it will only prove counterproductive.
