I always suggest including a question or piece of trivia or something in your profile so that people are motivated to email you. If you have nothing to say, then it’s hard to initiate an email.

Cool. I used to pick something interesting from their profile to comment on. Like my boyfriend now, he had “underwater basket weaving” listed as an interest. Obviously it was to get attention so anyway, I commented on that.

But, I noticed that a lot of the guys didn’t have something obvious to comment on. These would be good ideas to get the conversation going.

I think you can use these in either an email or a profile. Point is they are just good conversation starters.

Hmmm very interesting…so start an email with that? Or start a profile with that? Not that I’m interested in online dating or anything…
