Many are alcoholics, some are sex addicts but never drug addicts (because they are randomly tested for drugs). Some of them are hard core players, some of them are family men, and most of them are somewhere in between. Many of them are lonely, some of them have activities packed in between their flights and majority of them have lives outside of their home port. After all, they are all humans, but remember that, though it depends on their looks, commercial pilot licence and their uniform is to a degree a licence to sleep with any women they desire. If they are not married and they haven't taken advantage of it, they are 1), religious, 2), complete dorks 3), idiots; or in any of above combination. I have seen way too many colleagues of mine getting heart breaks from them, some are happily married to them and some are having a lot of fun with them. Although rare, you may come across some gems that shine through the thick grey clouds who may be your prince on a white horse (or a B747-400). They are perfect open relationship materials. Let go of your expectation for them especially commitment. Know who you are, take what the relationship offers and enjoy your life with them.
