Whether or not you choose to vote for Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election and whether or not you think Bill’s affair with Monica Lewinsky (and who knows who else) even matters, it is interesting to read and hear what Hillary has to say about the affair.
As reported in People Magazine, Clinton appeared on the daytime talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, as part of her current media tour and even agreed to discuss the Lewinsky affair. She’s spoken about this a little bit on other shows as well and it’s nice to finally hear that she was ticked off about the whole thing.
“The momentary feelings — you know, you are mad, you are really upset, you are disappointed — all of that goes through your mind …” Clinton said. “I have found you really shouldn’t make decisions in the heat of those moments.”
Although her comments are refreshing, it sure would be nice to know what she said to the man. But I suppose that’s none of my business. Points to Hillary for finally talking about the one thing we’ve all wondered about for so long.
Un-friggin believable. Dating has a proper definition on Wikipedia, and not a short one either. I’m particularly impressed by the reference to “virtual dating” and “text messaging.”
Here’s part of it:
“Dating is the act of going out on dates whereby one person socializes with a potential lover using a process that involves scheduled, usually exclusive, meetings of two people with mutual interest in one another. Typically a person may date different partners (this does not include or indicate the sexual relationship) during the same time period in order to have the best chance of finding their most suitable and available partner for an intimate relationship. A date involves going out to do something together (like having dinner, visiting the theater, or having a picnic at a park or beach), while dating involves the continued communication and courting between dates, such as meeting on-line (also known as virtual dating), chatting on-line, sending text messages or picture messages, and conversing over the phone. In this sense, during the dating process, people often explore each other through “dates” to discover whether or not they would be compatible together in a serious relationship - which for many people involves the sexual component but depends on individual beliefs. Usually, if the two individuals discover that they have poor or low compatibility, it signals the end of the dating process: however, due to the multiple person dating strategy a person ideally has other options to explore.”
There is a strange little town within the City of Denver that has always struck me as odd. Its name is Glendale and I’ve never understood why there needed to be a town within a town that is only 1 square mile and filled with strip clubs and adult toy stores.
Recently this place became even stranger after I was somehow put on the mailing list for its monthly newspaper, The Glendale/Cherry Creek Chronicle. It all started last month when I arrived at home to find the newspaper sitting squarely on my kitchen table reading: “The Cougar Bars of The Cherry Creek Valley” on the front page.
“What kind of news is this?” I asked myself as I sat down to read the article word for word all the while feeling morally depraved of my intellect.
I’ll admit I was somewhat entertained, but also a little disgusted that the part of town I refer to as sleazy had just become that much sleazier. And all in an attempt at writing an expose about a well-known reality everywhere: Attractive, successful, older women like to date younger, sexy, strong, and energetic men.
Now that’s hard hitting news.
Well this month it got worse. Yesterday I came home to find the little rag staring at me from my kitchen table reading “Welcome to the Jungle” with a picture of two men wearing t-shirts that read “i heart moms.”
Apparently the first article in the series was well-received so the editor sent the reporter out in the field again (with bait no less) to get more on the story. Turns out that yes, in fact, women over 45–or shall I say “cougars”–do find younger men attractive. These so-called cougars are confident enough to date these men. Some even sleep with men too.
Thanks Chronicle. Now I’m well informed.

I know that the nuptials aren’t really an appropriate topic for DatingTales, but since it is engagement season I thought it was appropriate. Here are three bits of information I really must share.
1) One of my favorite bloggers has created a new blog, appropriately titled Wedding Idea Source, which is completely dedicated to wedding ideas. The content is classy and worthwhile. None of that wedding mumbo jumbo you read everywhere else.
2) Speaking of mumbo jumbo, you won’t find any of it at the Offbeat Bride either. Whether you are planning a wedding or not, this site is entertaining and inspiring. I’m almost (almost, but not really) embarrassed to admit the number of hours I’ve spent looking at all the cool pics.
3) DatingTales has also developed a new Web site dedicated to Skin Fitness. We just recently posted an article about the timing of facials and other skin treatments before a wedding or other big event. Check it out! www.skinfitnessfacts.com
The “T” stands for tales in case you were wondering:)
I’ve never been on a double, first date so I can’t say. But I have heard both horror and successful dating stories from friends. Answer the DatingTales poll and let us know what you think about a double date the first go round.

And if you’re interested in finding a double date, believe it or not there are online dating services devoted to the topic. They really do think of everything, don’t they?
