Nice guys don’t always finish last. The nerdy, nice guy types are certainly worth dating. But of course, there are always pros and cons.

| PROS | CONS |
| Your parents will love him | Your friends won’t get him |
| He’ll compliment you until you feel queasy | At least one of your kids will look like him |
| You could be the next Mrs. Microsoft | On your second date he’ll take you to a sci-fi convention |
| You will always be able to kick his ass | If you’re mugged on the street he’ll say “Scottie, beam us up” |
| You won’t have to defrag a hard drive again | He will spend more time with his USB port than you |

Pro: He’ll help you roll up your first D&D character.

Took me a minute to figure out the D&D reference, but yeah you’re right on both.
There must be a middle ground between a nerd and non-nerd where you get the best of both – or perhaps the worst of both too! Nothing is perfect it seems but its the differences that can bring pleasant surprises hopefully.
Pleasant surprises indeed.
