The Contest Topic is “Your Worst Date”

It’s easy. Write a new blog entry having something to do with your worst date. Then, at the bottom of your post, simply post a link to www.datingtales.net with the anchor text “Funny Dating Stories,” and then complete the entry form.

You can write about whatever you like–your worst blind date, your worst dating experience, the worst things you can do during a date, the worst date to bring to a wedding, etc. As long as the post has something to do with the phrase “worst date,” you’re in the contest.

The Prizes:

At the end of the contest I’ll randomly choose three lucky participants to win a $20 iTunes gift card. Each day during the contest period I’ll post a summary of the submissions that will include a link back to your contest entry as well as a link to your blog’s main page. Please, no spammers–just legit bloggers. I reserve the right to ignore any submissions from spam blogs.

The Best Part of The Contest

While you can win a prize, the best part of the contest is that by participating you’ll find some other bloggers, make new friends, and maybe even find some new readers. Every time I participate in one of these contests, I always make a new friend and gain some readers, and I think you will too.

How To Get The Most Out of This:

Don’t just write your own post and wait to hear if you won, read the other posts, comment, and link to the blogs you like. You’ll gain friends, links, and new readers fast.

Don’t forget to Stumble, Digg, and/or Tag your favorite posts too.

Give your post a good title. “My Worst Date” isn’t going to be as interesting as “The Time I Threw-Up On My Husband”

How To Enter:

Write a blog post that has something to do with a worst date. Include a link to www.datingtales.net with the anchor text “Funny Dating Stories.” Then, enter your info using this form. Although I ask for your personal info, only the name of your blog, URL, and the title of your entry and the specific URL to that post will be posted on my site. I just need your e-mail in case you win.

At the end of each day, I’ll post a summary of all the entries from the previous day with links to both the main page of the blog and the specific blog entry. In addition to posting your links in my daily summary, I’ll also place them on my contest page.

The Fine Print:

Only one entry per person please. Also, any adult sites, gambling sites, and any spam blog entries will be ignored. I’m not going to go crazy here, but be warned.

Please keep your posts PG-13.

Your post’s date must be during the contest period.

The three prize winners will be selected randomly on August 15, 2007 and will receive their $20 iTunes GiftCard via e-mail (so make sure you give me a valid address).

All entries must be posted and you must complete an entry form no later than August 13, 2007.
